7 wellness habits you should commit to do in 2022






2021 had taught us a lot of things, one of the most important lessons we learned was the value of health and prioritizing self-care. I personally have made a promise to myself to renew my daily routine and include habits that would empower my life in the new year as a method to empower my general wellness. Starting from integrating hormonal supplements into my routine in order to improve my mood and health, setting boundaries with friends and family members to entirely cleansing my belongings for a simpler way of life, and generating more "me time" for me (or in this case, online).


I'm going to share my wellness checklist for the new year, in the hopes that it may inspire you to make similar goals for this new chapter.


1. Get on a better sleep schedule


Make 2022 the year that you finally put focus and control on your sleeping habits. Getting enough and proper sleep will contribute tremendously toward a positive outcome on a variety of aspects of your life, including your hunger, mood, hormones, and overall health. Plus, if you start prioritizing sleep, you'll be less angry, agitated, and prone to snacking.


The advantages of getting better sleep: improved mood, feeling less exhausted, and having more control over your appetite.


To help you master your sleep schedule, I recommend you use a wake-up light. Wakeup lights work on the principle of gradually beginning to glow for around half an hour before the alarm is due to go off. The growing light will have kicked-start your wake-up process by the time the alarm goes off, making it easier to get out of bed without pushing snooze.




2. Encourage yourself to drink more water


Hydration, like sleeping schedules, is a key to unlocking lots of new benefits into your day-to-day living. Consider having clearer skin, fewer headaches, and less fatigue. While it's easy to lump your daily water consumption in with the rest of the liquids you consume, there's nothing like pure H2O to keep you hydrated and healthy.

Reminding yourself of all the things you have to be grateful for may drastically change your perspective. Counting your blessings is one of the most basic — but powerful — ways to boost your attitude and well-being. It can assist you in feeling more motivated, inspired, and encouraged. While mentioning what you're grateful for out loud is a simple (and free) way to practice gratitude, other individuals choose to jot down their small blessings to reflect on every day.
