Your spirit will rejoice when you are kind, courteous, sympathetic, and self-giving. You've attained the pinnacle of self-love in this state of serving others. And, while being kind to others is good karma, we sometimes forget to include ourselves in the mix. Being kind to yourself isn't selfish; in fact, it's absolutely selfless because when you're happy, you're more likely to help others feel happy. When I teach yoga, I often think about Buddha's quote: "If your compassion practice does not include yourself, it is incomplete."
Find tiny and major methods to show your gratitude for those kind and kind folks who not only add abundance to their lives but also to yours. You may share the love while also bringing happiness to your life by performing deliberate actions of kindness and giving.
Over time, you'll learn that the only one who can make you happy and have a positive attitude on life is you. People can certainly add to our happiness, but never let yourself believe that you require someone to complete you. You’re complete, all on your own.
In this article, I'll give you super-specific strategies that you may use in your life to give yourself an awesome glow.
What exactly is the point of a glow-up?
Feel better and more powerful.
Get to know yourself and your health better.
Create positive habits (and minimize bad ones)
Feel and look better (a smile never goes out of style!)
Concentrate more on giving.
Gain more self-assurance
The most crucial aspect of a glow up is greater self-assurance! Confidence may take many forms, and each of the suggestions and tidbits in this guide will help you love yourself even more.
1. SURROUND YOURSELF WITH HAPPY PEOPLE
You are the average of the five persons you spend the most time with. Spend enough time among unpleasant, gossipy, or critical people, and you'll begin to act similarly. When we're surrounded by individuals who lift us up, encourage us, and love us deeply, we're considerably happier.
Do you feel drained or energized after spending time with this individual?
Someone may be detracting from your unique glow if you don't feel energetic and happier after being with them. You are free to adjust your circle to help you rise.
2. REPEAT YOUR AFFIRMATIONS EVERY DAY
Meditation is a wonderful way to unwind, but don't you occasionally need a boost? Affirmations on a daily basis literally rewire your unconscious mind to believe whatever you're saying. What we believe defines who we are.
So if you tell yourself, "I am gorgeous," you'll start to believe it. It's also more likely to be true if you get really detailed. If you say, "I'll live where there are palm trees," for example, you're likely to end up on a palm-tree-lined street one day.
So this could be the most crucial aspect of your glow-up! An affirmation can help you achieve your goals, whether it's making more money, giving more to others, or feeling more comfortable in your clothes.
3. Get up early – mornings shouldn't be rushed
The new morning regimen now includes the following:
Sun salutations and anxiety-relieving positions are included in this 15-minutes yoga practice.
Hydrating your body and boosting metabolism by drinking warm water with lemon.
A long, steamy shower to unwind. You earned it since you did a small workout this morning!
Daily skincare routine and light make-up and lipstick application. Try to make your skincare routine as simple as possible: cleanse, treat, hydrate, and then go.
4. EXPERIENCE NEW HAIRSTYLES
Is it just me, or do you measure eras of your life by the haircut you wore the most? "I went through a side ponytail phase." or "Oh, I had bangs back then." It's nice to have a go-to hairdo, but a little bit of variety every now and again may make a big difference in how we look.
So don't be afraid to experiment with different hairstyles to see what suits you best! Even changing your hairstyle from a high ponytail to a high bun can alter your mood and appearance.
I've discovered that simply changing where I separate my hair may make a difference!
(Changing your part every now and again also helps preserve volume in your hair roots.)
5. exercise every day and DRINK MORE WATEr
Just 15 minutes of exercising each day can completely transform your life and make you glow. Exercise is beneficial to your skin, health, physical attractiveness, emotions, hormones, and self-assurance.
Exercise in whatever way that makes you happy! It doesn't matter what you do, whether it's going to the gym, dancing, or walking the dog, as long as you're moving and having fun with it on a daily basis!
The best method to boost your health is to stay hydrated. It benefits your skin, hair, nails, and internal organs! People appear and feel tired because they are dehydrated!
At least half your body weight in ounces should be consumed in water. If you weigh 140 pounds, you should drink at least 70 ounces of water each day.
6. CLOTHES YOU APPRECIATE
You want to become enthused about looking through your closet. You don't want to look forward to getting dressed in the morning since it will affect the rest of your day.
You'll wear confidence-boosting outfits every day if you only own clothes you like. That can have a significant impact on how you feel about yourself and your body over time!
Dress for the occasion. Too many people make the mistake of maintaining too-small or too-large pants or outfits. Clothing that fits well may transform you from drab to fantastic!
Note: If you're trying to lose weight, it's fine to have a pair of jeans that are a size or two lower to keep you motivated. However, you still need jeans that fit today; else, you risk losing your confidence.
7. IDENTIFY WHAT POINTS TO YOUR BEST FEATURES
There isn't a single "correct" way to dress. Everyone has a varied body type and features, so you want to dress in a way that emphasizes your individuality. That doesn't mean you should display more or less skin; it simply means you should wear it in a way that makes you feel good.
Patience & Perseverance
It takes patience and perseverance to keep your skin looking good. As a result, be patient with yourself, particularly if you're recovering from a traumatic event. Speaking with a mental health expert may also be beneficial. Finally, keep in mind that good things take time, so take time to enjoy yourself exactly as you are, since this is the only way to reach genuine self-love.
